Tivoli Gardens Entry
Overview
Enter Tivoli Gardens, the historic pleasure garden right next to Copenhagen Central Station. You wander landscaped paths, a lake and open-air stages, while the coloured lamps that have lit the park since 1843 come on as evening falls.
Highlights
- The gardens: Flower beds, old trees and the lake, once part of the city moat.
- Pantomime Theatre: A Chinese-style theatre from 1874 whose curtain is a mechanical peacock’s tail.
- Open-air shows: Concerts and performances on the outdoor stages.
- Evening lights: Thousands of lamps across the park after dark.
Good to know
- Time on site: About 3 hours; rides are extra and not part of the entry ticket.
- Activity level: Easy, level walking on paths, with crowds on busy evenings.
- Best for: All ages, especially families and anyone who likes gardens, music and people-watching.
