Czech Republic
Czech Republic: Fairy-tale Prague and Bohemian charm.
About Czech Republic
Spires, cobblestones, and a skyline lifted straight out of a fairy tale - Prague's old town, castle district, and Charles Bridge make it one of Europe's most photogenic capitals, while day trips to Cesky Krumlov and the Bohemian countryside add a quieter, small-town contrast for longer itineraries.

The Czech Republic has a continental climate with warm summers and cold, sometimes snowy winters. Spring and autumn are mild and popular for sightseeing with smaller crowds than peak summer. Best time to visit: April to June or September to October, for mild weather and smaller crowds.
Prague's metro, trams, and buses cover the city efficiently, and the old town itself is very walkable. Trains connect Prague to other major cities and to Cesky Krumlov for day trips.
Strong 4G/5G coverage in Prague and other cities. Free Wi-Fi is widely available in hotels, cafes, and public spaces.
The Czech Republic uses the Czech Koruna, not the Euro. Cards are widely accepted in Prague and other tourist areas, though smaller towns may prefer cash.
Prague is known for Bohemian crystal, garnet jewelry, and traditional wooden toys and puppets. Most shops in tourist areas stay open daily, including Sundays.
The Czech Republic applies a standard VAT rate of 21% on most goods. Non-EU visitors can claim a refund on purchases over 2,001 CZK from a single store, processed at the airport on departure.

Visa Requirements for Czech Republic
For Indian passport holders. Confirm the current rules with the consulate before applying.
Visa Requirement
As a Schengen Area member, the Czech Republic is covered by the same Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa used across all member states. Citizens of the EU, EEA, and visa-exempt countries such as the US, UK, Canada, and Australia do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days.
However, Indian passport holders must apply for a Schengen Visa before travelling. If the Czech Republic is the main destination or first point of entry on a multi-country trip, the application should be submitted through the Czech Republic's consulate or an authorised visa centre.
