Spain
Spain: Flamenco energy, Moorish history, coastline.
About Spain
Spain's range is its strength - Barcelona's Gaudi architecture, Madrid's grand boulevards and museums, Andalusia's Moorish palaces in Granada and Seville, and beach coastline along the Mediterranean and Atlantic. It supports both fast-paced multi-city itineraries and slower, single-region trips equally well.

Spain's climate varies by region: hot, dry summers across most of the country, milder and wetter in the north, and warm year-round along the southern coast. Spring and autumn are ideal for city-focused travel. Best time to visit: April to June or September to October, avoiding peak summer heat inland.
Spain's high-speed AVE trains connect major cities quickly, including Madrid to Barcelona in under three hours. City centers have efficient metro and bus networks.
Strong 4G/5G coverage nationwide, including most rural areas. Free Wi-Fi is standard in hotels and cafes.
Spain uses the Euro. Cards are widely accepted, though cash remains useful for smaller tapas bars and local markets.
Spain is known for leather goods, flamenco-inspired fashion, ceramics, and local wines and olive oil. Many shops close for a midday siesta before reopening in the evening.
Spain applies a standard VAT rate of 21% on most goods. Non-EU visitors can claim a refund with no minimum purchase amount at participating stores, processed at the airport on departure.

Visa Requirements for Spain
For Indian passport holders. Confirm the current rules with the consulate before applying.
Visa Requirement
As a Schengen Area member, Spain is covered by the same Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa used across all member states. Citizens of the EU, EEA, and visa-exempt countries such as the US, UK, Canada, and Australia do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days.
However, Indian passport holders must apply for a Schengen Visa before travelling. If Spain is the main destination or first point of entry on a multi-country trip, the application should be submitted through Spain's consulate or an authorised visa centre.
